Frequently Asked Questions

Answers on quotations, shipping, packing and the alloys we deal in.

How is the shipping cost calculated?

Shipping cost depends on the weight and dimensions of the material, its packaging, the shipping method and the delivery location. Share your requirements with our team and we will prepare a quotation.

How long will delivery take?

Delivery time depends on product availability, order quantity, shipping method and destination. Contact us and we will confirm an estimated delivery time for your order.

How is my material packed for shipment?

Depending on the material, packaging may include:

  • Protective strapping and securing materials
  • Cartons or crates suited to the material
  • Protective wrapping and cushioning
  • Moisture-resistant packaging, where required

Can I place an order by phone?

Yes. Call our team to discuss your material requirements, availability and quotation on +91 7829452229 or +91 7829454447.

Can I place an order by email?

Yes. Send your enquiry to sales@tirupathialloys.com . Please include the material grade, quantity and delivery location.

Do you offer discounts on large quantities?

Pricing depends on the material, grade, quantity and availability. For bulk requirements, contact our team and we will quote accordingly.

What is duplex steel?

Duplex stainless steel is a stainless steel whose microstructure contains both austenitic and ferritic phases. It is known for combining high strength with good corrosion resistance.

What is Hastelloy?

Hastelloy is a family of nickel-based alloys designed for demanding environments. Many grades resist corrosion and perform well at high temperatures.

What are nickel alloys used for?

Nickel alloys are used where corrosion resistance, strength and heat resistance are needed, such as chemical processing, power generation, aerospace and industrial equipment manufacturing.

How do I choose between different types of metal?

The right metal depends on the application, operating temperature, exposure to corrosion, strength requirements and budget.

Low-carbon steel: Common in general fabrication and in applications that need good formability.

Medium-carbon steel: Used where a balance of strength, hardness and toughness is needed.

High-carbon steel: Used in applications that need greater hardness and wear resistance.

What is green manufacturing?

Green manufacturing aims to reduce waste, conserve natural resources, improve energy efficiency and limit the environmental impact of production.

When should I use grade 304 stainless steel?

304 stainless steel is widely used in general-purpose applications that need good corrosion resistance, formability and durability. Whether it suits your job depends on the operating environment and the application.
